My theme or “word of the year” for 2013 was transformation. It seemed appropriate since 2013 was the year of the snake (a symbol of transformation), and I wanted 2013 to be the year where everything I wanted to change about my life finally changed.
My life has transformed in a lot of ways this year – some positive, some painful – but I haven’t achieved the major changes I was dreaming of at the beginning of 2013.
Some of the transformations that have happened are setting me up to achieve the transformations that I actually want though, so I’m headed in the right direction at least.
2013 taught me that transformation can be quick, but it can also be a very slow process.
It taught me about loss and letting go, and it helped me recover and improve myself in many ways,
It taught me about timing, “hustling” (going after what you want, asking for what you want, and trying different things until you make it happen), confidence, generosity, self sufficiency, self care, teamwork, and the importance of a detailed plan.
2013 has been a year full of ups and downs, and it contains many lessons.
Thank you for everything you taught me.
My theme for this year is positive growth.
I’ll be working on growing my business, but we both know there’s a lot of personal growth that comes along with that.
Connecting with people and providing value is going to be my focus.
I want to help as many people as I can create successful, fulfilling, and fun businesses, and make my own business more successful, fulfilling, and fun.
It feels like I’m finally stepping on to the right path, and I hope this year will bring me closer to accomplishing my dreams than ever before.
Hopefully, 2014 will be a great year for all of us. 🙂
Happy New Year!
